St. Louis residents are lucky enough to experience all four seasons and while most of the year the weather is beautiful, winter temps can make staying active difficult. Exercise not only keeps the body healthy, but can ward off the blues during the gray months of winter. Don’t let wind and snow keep you down, you can keep moving and shaking in any weather.
- Join a fitness club – Many gyms offer fully equipped workout facilities, indoor swimming pools and even personal training. Find a gym that fits your needs and budget and join up! Don’t forget to check out the workout facility at many of Arch Interim Housing’s communities. You may be closer than you think to winter workout opportunities.
- Walk the mall – Don’t let snow covered sidewalks keep you from strapping on your sneakers. Indoor malls offer a warm – and free! – environment for getting your walk on. Allegro on the Boulevard is one of the Arch properties within a stone’s throw from a great, walkable mall.
- Take a class – Winter is a great time to shake up your workout routine. If you can’t walk, run or bike outside, try a yoga or spinning class. You may just find your new favorite way to stay in shape.
Winter in St. Louis is wonderful and you don’t have to slow down just because it’s cold. Take advantage of a number of indoor fitness options and keep moving!
