Another way to find out what’s going on around town isto a your neighbor. By going to them for advice your opening up these lines of communication, which can be useful.

There’s a reasons why you’re friends are your friends. They think like you, act like you, and really understand you. What better way to meet friends than through someone who already understands what kind of friend you are.

3. Club, Organization or Sports Team

Soccer, book club, choir, church, softball, Frisbee golf, hiking, kung-fu, swim, performing arts, YMCA, and Red Cross are just some of the endless possibilities of clubs you can join in a community. These are easy to find, fun and are a great way to meet new people.

4. Online Source

Searching online for friends sounds lame, no matter how you put it. However, the internet is one of the most vast, infinite places to meet new people. The only problem is that there are just too many people that you may or may not connect with. Using sites such as friendfinder.com, meetup.com, and lifeknot.com. These sites use your location to find people of similar interest in your area.

5. Local Gathering Spots

Last but most certainly not least, find local hot spots. These can be cafés, bars, clubs, library, bookstores, etc. The best way to do this is just to go out and explore. Make sure you go to different places at different times; routine checks are less likely to produce good results. Mix up your times so you can meet people are different times.
